Roof repairs
Slipped slates and tiles, leaks, flashings, valleys and storm damage.
Torbay & South Devon
We cover Paignton and the rest of Torbay, including Preston, Goodrington and out towards Brixham.
Paignton is heavy on 1930s semis, bungalows and post-war housing, which mostly means concrete interlocking tiles and a good number of flat-roofed extensions and garages.
What we do
Slipped slates and tiles, leaks, flashings, valleys and storm damage.
Full re-roofs in slate or tile, with new felt, battens and rainwater goods.
Re-bedding or dry-fixing loose ridges and hips.
Replacing rotten boards and failing rainwater goods together.
Cleaning, moss removal and the sort of check that catches problems early.
What we see most
Moss holds water against the tiles and blocks gutters as it washes down. Clearing it properly, rather than blasting it off, keeps the surface intact.
The tiles themselves outlast the felt underneath them. When the sarking felt perishes at the eaves, water starts finding its way in even though the roof looks sound.
Low pitches and flat sections need the falls to be right. Get that wrong and you get standing water, then splits, then a ceiling stain.
