Roof repairs
Slipped slates and tiles, leaks, flashings, valleys and storm damage.
Plymouth & West Devon
We cover Plymouth and the surrounding towns, including Plympton, Plymstock, Ivybridge and Tavistock.
A lot of Plymouth housing went up in the post-war rebuild, which means rendered walls, shallow pitches, concrete interlocking tiles, and a great many flat-roofed extensions, garages and dormers that are now well past the life of their original felt.
What we do
Slipped slates and tiles, leaks, flashings, valleys and storm damage.
Full re-roofs in slate or tile, with new felt, battens and rainwater goods.
Re-bedding or dry-fixing loose ridges and hips.
Replacing rotten boards and failing rainwater goods together.
Cleaning, moss removal and the sort of check that catches problems early.
What we see most
Old felt goes brittle, splits at the joints and ponds in the middle. Replacing it properly, with the right falls and upstands, matters more than the material you choose.
Exposed elevations take the brunt of it. Ridge tiles, verges and loose flashings are usually the first things to go in a gale.
Blocked or split guttering soaks the wall below it, and on rendered Plymouth housing that shows up as damp inside long before anyone looks up.
